With deep roots in Miami, Casey Piket developed an interest in researching, writing, and podcasting about Miami’s history. He started the Miami-History blog in 2012 and maintains several social media sites to share and engage those interested in Miami’s and South Florida’s history. Piket co-founded the Miami History Podcast with Dr. Paul S. George in 2018.
For this month’s Second Saturday tour, Piket will lead guests who have have museum admission through the Freedom Tower, highlighting poignant moments of Miami history.
Join us at 12p.m (for English speakers) and 2 p.m. (for Spanish speakers) for a guided tour of the Freedom Tower. This experience offers visitors an opportunity to hear from a passionate Museum of Art and Design staff member who will lead a curated highlights tour of the exhibitions on view.
